3 Double-crested Cormorant Along Rio Fuerte first morning, plus one near airport
4 Neotropic Cormorant Along Rio Fuerte first morning
5 Great Blue Heron Our "daily" heron
6 Great Egret A few scattered along rivers
7 Snowy Egret Seen two days
8 Green Heron Along Rio Fuerte and in Batopilas
9 Black-crowned Night-Heron Along Rio Fuerte (CdLA) in afternoon
10 White Ibis Seen by some on float trip
11 Mallard A batch took off from the pond with the Green Kingfishers
12 Northern Shoveler One female found by Bob
13 Lesser Scaup Quite a few on Rio Fuerte
14 Black Vulture Common
15 Turkey Vulture Common
16 Osprey Nice views on float trip day, one with a nice fish
17 Cooper's Hawk Only one seen!
18 Common Black-Hawk Best views were on Rio Fuerte, plus one from train for Diane
19 Gray Hawk Not as many as usual for this trip.  Seen only two days.
20 Zone-tailed Hawk Nice view soaring overhead on float trip

22 Crested Caracara Many of these interesting birds seen on this trip
23 American Kestrel Only from train on ride up into mountains

26 Northern Jacana Nice views along edge of Rio Fuerte

28 Bonaparte's Gull A first for our Copper Canyon trip.  Seen floating in Rio.
29 Caspian Tern Flyby along Rio Fuerte
30 Rock Pigeon Common near towns
31 Red-billed Pigeon First morning near Rio Fuerte
32 White-winged Dove Fairly common
33 Mourning Dove Not too many of these compared to average
34 Inca Dove A few seen
35 Common Ground-Dove This is the two-toned bill-color one, plus scaled look
36 Ruddy Ground-Dove This one has the dark bill (female seen, similar to above)
37 Lesser Nighthawk A number seen on Camino de Las Aves near dusk
38 Black Swift Large group foraging high above on walk to Satevo
39 Broad-billed Hummingbird A few seen at flowers
40 Violet-crowned Hummingbird Fairly common
41 Eared Quetzal Tied for 1st place.  Six at once at Arroyo Bacuseachic!

43 Green Kingfisher Nicely seen at swampy area just before Rio
44 Acorn Woodpecker Seen at Divisidero on usual telephone pole

63 Black-throated Magpie-Jay Tied for 1st.  Exquisite views of group in tree overhead!
64 Mexican Jay Group seen flying upslope from shrine overlook site
65 Sinaloa Crow Common in lowlands, lots seen at dump & drive to airport
66 Chihuahuan Raven A few seen in lowlands
67 Common Raven Mostly in highlands
68 Mexican Chickadee Hooray Elizabeth!  We finally got some!  (Diane had earlier)
69 Bridled Titmouse One seen looking uphill at shrine overlook
70 Verdin In desert scrub habitats

104 Green-tailed Towhee (aud) Heard near Rio Fuerte in bushes
105 Canyon Towhee Finally seen near garage at Sierra Lodge
